Privacy policy
In short
- The app does not collect or send any data — neither to us nor to third parties.
- Your streak, reflections and settings are stored only on your phone.
- Reminders are local: your phone schedules them itself.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking. The website uses no cookies.
- If you sign up for the launch announcement, we keep your e-mail address only until we send it.
1. Controller
The controller of personal data within the meaning of the GDPR is Paweł Sroka, the developer of Faith 2.0. For any privacy matter, write to kontakt@wiara20.pl.
2. The app
The app works without an account and without an internet connection. It does not connect to our server or to any third-party service. It contains no ads, analytics or tracking.
The app stores on your phone: the days on which you completed the prayer (streak and calendar), your answers to the reflection questions, your chosen goal and language style, the reminder time and appearance settings. This data never leaves the device — we have no access to it.
A reminder is a local notification scheduled by iOS on your phone. We do not use push notifications and do not process any device identifiers.
App data may be included in your phone’s backup (iCloud or a computer) if backups are turned on — under Apple’s terms and without our involvement. Deleting the app deletes its data from your phone.
3. The App Store
You download the app from the App Store, which is run by Apple. Apple processes data related to downloading the app under its own terms, described in the Apple Privacy Policy. From Apple we receive only aggregate statistics, such as the number of downloads, and — if you agree to it in your iPhone settings — anonymous crash reports. They do not allow us to identify you.
4. The wiara20.pl website
The website uses no cookies, loads no resources from other servers (fonts and images are hosted on our server) and contains no analytics scripts or ads. The only script on the home page runs its toggles and the sign-up form — it sends data only when you sign up for the launch announcement yourself.
The server keeps a technical log without IP addresses: date and time, the page requested, the response code and the browser type. The server error log may contain an IP address when a technical error occurs. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the website running and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
The website runs on a rented server (VPS). The server provider has technical access to this data only as far as needed to provide that service.
5. E-mail
If you write to us, we process your e-mail address and the content of your message in order to reply, on the basis of our legitimate interest in handling correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep the message until the matter is resolved and then for no longer than one year, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. E-mail is handled by e-mail service providers: forwarding for the wiara20.pl domain and the controller’s mailbox.
6. Launch announcement
On the home page you can leave your e-mail address so that we can let you know when the app is on the App Store. We then process your e-mail address, the language of the page and the dates of sign-up and confirmation, on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). After you sign up, we send an e-mail with a confirmation link; without confirmation we will not write again, and unconfirmed addresses are deleted after 7 days.
We use a confirmed address for a single message on launch day and then delete it. You can withdraw your consent at any time — with the link in the message or by writing to kontakt@wiara20.pl. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
Addresses are stored in a database on our server (VPS). Messages are sent on our behalf by Resend, an e-mail delivery provider that processes the address only to deliver the message, under a data processing agreement. Resend is a US company, so the address may be transferred outside the European Economic Area with the safeguards required by the GDPR (the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses).
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected, erased or its processing restricted, the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Just write to kontakt@wiara20.pl. You may also lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, uodo.gov.pl).
We do not profile you or make automated decisions based on your data.
8. Changes
In the future we plan user accounts (sign-in and sync between devices). Before introducing them, we will update this policy and describe what data will be processed, for what purpose and for how long. We will announce the change in the app and on this page.
